Meet Our Team

Dr. William Walsh

Dr. William Walsh was born in Natick, Massachusetts. As a child, Dr. Walsh led a very active lifestyle by participating and competing in football, lacrosse, wrestling, and baseball. Being the eldest boy of 4 children Dr. Walsh was continuously pushing the boundaries and setting new limits for himself. At the age of 16, while wakeboarding Dr. Walsh landed improperly, leaving him with bulging discs in his low back. For months Dr. Walsh experienced neurological symptoms with no relief. Orthopedics, physical therapy, and prescription medications would not resolve the pain. With the encouragement of a family friend Dr. Walsh was directed towards chiropractic. After merely two months Dr. Walsh was able to return to the activities to which he loved.

Consequently Dr. Walsh attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (UMD), and received a degree in biological sciences. Dr. Walsh’s studies, athletic inclinations, and injuries incurred as a result, led him toward the field of chiropractic care. Thus Dr. Walsh attended Southern California University of Health Sciences, Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (SCUHS/LACC), and received his Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC), with high honors.

Currently Dr. Walsh resides in the heart of Huntington Beach, California and enjoys partaking in many outdoor activities which include: spear fishing, surfing, snorkeling, hiking, and snowboarding.

Although she had received chiropractic treatment sporadically throughout her childhood, it wasn’t until 2011 that she found her passion for chiropractic. With emphasis on personalized attention for each patient, Neva works closely with Dr. Walsh to ensure quality, efficient service for optimal results.

Today Neva lives in Costa Mesa and loves to bowl, surf and catch a good hockey game.

PEDIATRIC CHIROPRACTIC

PedChiro

Pediatric chiropractic is a safe and non-invasive means of treating a variety of issues and symptoms in children. Both physical conditions and emotional disorders can be addressed by using chiropractic as a means to deliver results without drugs.
More and more parents are seeking chiropractic care for their children.  Many problems seen in adults began as early as birth. Even natural birthing methods can stress an infant’s spine and developing nervous system. The resulting irritation to the nervous system caused by spinal and cranial misalignment can be the cause of many newborn and child health complaints.

The following conditions are often traced to nervous system stress:

  • “Colic” or inconsolable crying
  • Breathing problems (asthma, allergies)
  • Breast feeding difficulties
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Allergic reactions
  • Chronic infections
  • Digestive stress
  • Ear aches

MASSAGE THERAPY

Massage

Utilizing soft tissue therapies is extremely important when managing musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation.  The muscles function to move the skeletal bones so we can be mobile.  If they have the ability to move the bones, their imbalances need to be addressed.  Ignoring the muscular component is the equivalent of building a great foundation for a house on an unstable surface. Our therapists are very talented in many different aspects and techniques of massage. You will be paired with a therapist who will specifically address the problems and areas necessary to correctly and quickly restore proper function to your body.

SPINAL DECOMPRESSION

Spinal decompression is a treatment designed for low back pain or neck pain that stems from problematic discs in the spinal column, such as herniated discs, degenerated discs, bulging discs, causing arm or leg pain(sciatica). Spinal decompression can also be helpful in cases where there is a relapse after back surgery, patients suffering from spinal stenosis or facet syndrome, and those who have had severe trauma occur to the spine.

Spinal decompression is a non-surgical and non-invasive procedure, which means that there are little risks and rarely any side effects. The short-term and long-term benefits of spinal decompression outweigh typical approaches to treating severe back pain.

The mechanics of a spinal decompression table are designed for an easy and pain free treatment. The way spinal decompression works is by minuscule pulling force that essentially causes a negative pressure to “suck” disc material back into place, reducing the disc herniation or bulge and taking pressure off of nerves. Reducing the herniation or bulge eliminates most pain in a risk-free procedure.

Chiropractic In The NFL

In Loving Memory

Dr. J. Randall Miller

Miller

Dr. Miller began Miller Family chiropractic 30 years ago where he served thousands of California residents up to his passing in April of 2014. Dr. Miller was an exceptional chiropractor, and an even more extraordinary man. Dr. Miller was a man who whole heartedly believed and practiced the oath all Chiropractors take upon graduating: “to help those in need.” Dr. Miller was a friend, teacher, and father figure to us all. He loved the art of Chiropractic and loved being able to help his patients get the best treatment possible. Anyone who conversed with Dr. Miller can attest to his knowledge, uncanny ability to quote recent medical research, and his overall willingness to help anyone in need. Dr. Miller was a man of strong moral character, and a man who had a definite vision for what he saw Chiropractic as. It was Dr. Miller’s mission to provide clarity, to treat and achieve results, to work patiently toward a specific outcome, and to do so with true compassion. It is with those principles and work ethic at heart that Miller Family Chiropractic has continued and will continue in the future.
